Why do xenon headlights flicker
Re: Xenon flickering video I had the same problem and i bought new D1S bulbs Re: Xenon flickering video Replace the bulb Phil. Re: Xenon flickering video I had the same exact issue.
I went on ebay and bought 2 for bucks. Bought McCulloch k replacement D1S bulbs. No more flicker. I don't get on Audizine anymore, so if you need me Re: Xenon flickering video Thanks for the reply people. I'll try replacing the bulbs first, and take it from there :.
My Photo Gallery: 6. Re: Xenon flickering video Not to hijack this thread, but I have a similar not as pronounced problem with a slight flicker when I go over bumps while driving. I can replicate it easily when changing lanes on the freeway, the cat's eyes make the bulb flicker ever so slightly.
Any ideas, bulb or ballast? Re: Xenon flickering video. Originally Posted by pyrobecks. Re: Xenon flickering video just replaced my bulbs and issue resolved was getting dipped headlight on both L and R sides. No problem: OT: Will these fit my car?
Re: Xenon flickering video stupid stock d1s bulbs! Re: Xenon flickering video mine would sometimes not flicker for weeks, then all of a sudden flicker badly for a few days to the point where they would shut off. It wasn't constant, which made me not want to fix them right away.
I regrounded the taillights which i read somewhere. It seemed as if it had worked but a day afterwards the flickering begun again. I have read and am sure if i go to the stealer they will tell me it is the Light Control Module which is a huge chunk of change.
I'm not for sure what the next path i should take is towards fixing this preferably by myself. Sorry about the long post Thanks in Advance This sounds like a ballast or bulb problem. Try swapping the bulb from one side to the other to see if the problem switches sides.
If so, you need a new bulb. If not, it is most likely the ballast that is going out. View Profile View Forum Posts. Hey, Ever get a fix for this? It's probably not your bulbs or ballasts because we're having the same problem and have already tried an entire new light assembly bulbs, ballast, ignitor.
We're thinking it's something on the car Also, was your car originally halogen or was it always xenon just asking because we're converting but not sure if it's related or not. Thanks, Tim. But does the light flicker and then after a while of driving the light is fine no flickering?
Hey guys, We got ours working properly Hey, i still havent resolved mine So i assumed it had magically fixed itself. However, within the last week the flickering has returned and worse. Once again trying to find the solution The car is a , Has xenons from factory, and bolth bulbs flicker at the same time Maybe a short?

I'm willing to try the LCM fix if there is someone out there that can give me an instance when an LCM replacement fixed this problem for sure. I saw another E46 tonight with the same problem. Any new updates? This, too, will cause HID lights to flicker.
You can solve this problem by disabling daytime running lights, which isn't difficult. If a vehicle's headlights are running on a 10 or 15 ampere fuse, the amount of power delivered to HID lights may be insufficient to prevent them from flickering.
Replacing the fuse with a amp version will reduce the resistance and increase the amount of power supplied to the headlights without overloading the wiring.
